WHO IS ALEXANDRE?
ALEXANDRE SILVÉRIO
CEO & Founder - Bassoon Lesson / Principal bassoon at OSESP / Classical and Jazz Bassoonist
Alexandre Silvério is the principal bassoonist of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSESP) and a dedicated jazz bassoonist. In 1999, he studied under bassoon legend Klaus Thunemann at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. After completing his postgraduate studies in 2002, he joined the Berlin Philharmonic Academy, performing with the Berlin Philharmonic and Berlin Symphony Orchestras, collaborating with renowned conductors like Seiji Ozawa and Pierre Boulez. In addition to his role at OSESP, Alexandre teaches at the “Academia de Música da Osesp,” is a member of Camaleon Bassoons, and leads a jazz group named after himself. In 2016 he started the Bassoon Lesson Website, to help people around the world discover the joy of bassoon playing.
